Advance Registration required, in June. Not USCF rated.
July 13th at 1pm inside the Albany Library conference rooms. please show up at least 20 minutes early to find your seating, for the tournament intends on starting at 1pm.
Time control will be 15 minute rapid for 5 rounds.
There will be two divisions, the “open” will be ages 16 or older, open participant fee is 5 USD. then the youth division ages 15 or younger, which is free.
currently the prizes for the open division will be ~ 1st 100USD plus additional non-monetary prizes. 2nd 50USD plus additional non-monetary prizes. 3rd 25USD plus additional non-monetary prizes. Currently there is not a specific reward for the top 3 of the youth division given that giving cash prizes to children is a bit odd plus warrants parent approval. Currently I’m thinking some minor trophies for youth winners.
